Summer at Palacký University: Overview of Summer Opening Hours for Residence Halls, Canteens, and FreshUP Bistros
Summer at Palacký University brings several changes to the operation of residence halls, university canteens, and FreshUP bistros. Students and staff can take advantage of special offers linked to summer accommodation, while also keeping in mind that some dining facilities will operate on a limited schedule during the summer holiday period.
Summer Accommodation with Added Benefits
During the summer months, the Accommodation and Dining Services of Palacký University offer students both short-term and long-term accommodation in the university residence halls. Students staying in the university residence halls over the summer will also enjoy a special benefit at FreshUP+: with every main meal purchased, they will receive a complimentary coffee.
In July, available residence hall capacity will also be offered as hotel accommodation for guests. This provides staff members with a convenient option to accommodate family members, friends, or international visitors within the university campus. Every hotel guest will also receive a voucher for 20% off a main meal at FreshUP+. Reservations and further information are available at hotel@upol.cz.
Summer Opening Hours of University Canteens and FreshUP Bistros
Several dining facilities will operate on a reduced schedule during the summer.
From 6 to 12 July 2026, all dining facilities operated by the Accommodation and Dining Services will be closed due to scheduled maintenance and the summer holiday period.
Additional changes include:

FreshUP+ will be closed from 15 to 18 June due to a conference taking place on site.

During the summer, FreshUP+ will be open Monday to Thursday, 12:00–19:30.

FreshUP bistros at the Faculty of Arts (Křížkovského 10), Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science, and Holice will be open Monday to Friday, 7:30–14:30.

The Neředín Canteen and the FreshUP bistros at the Faculty of Law and třída Svobody will be closed from 6 July until 31 August.
