Dagmar Horáková působí na Ústavu veřejného zdravotnictví LF UP. Prezident Miloš Zeman ji profesorkou v oboru Epidemiologie, preventivní lékařství a hygiena jmenoval na návrh Vědecké rady Univerzity obrany v Brně, jmenovací dekret podepsal 9. prosince.
