Are you planning to return to an academic or professional setting and want to gain more confidence in a foreign language? The third workshop in the Return to Science series will guide you through effective communication in English at the B2+ level. It will focus on specialized texts, academic writing, and presenting ideas, as well as practical demonstrations of how to make your work easier using artificial intelligence tools. The course will be held in a blended format (in-person and online) and is also open to parents—childcare is provided during the first part.
The course is divided into two parts:
Part 1: June 19, 8:30–11:30, in-person (with childcare available for children ages 1.5 and up)
Part 2: June 25, 8:30–11:00 (online)
Abstract:
The course will focus on academic and professional English at approximately B2+ level, with particular emphasis on working with specialist texts, academic and formal writing, presenting ideas, and communicating effectively in both professional and educational settings. Participants will also explore the practical use of AI tools for text analysis, writing, and language development. The course will be delivered in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face and online sessions, with an emphasis on flexibility and active participation. The content of the course may be adapted to the needs and goals of the group in order to best support participants in their return to professional life.
