How did you experience the past semester, how did you feel about your workload, and what would help you better manage the demanding periods of the academic year? The end of the semester and exam periods provide an opportunity to reflect on the entire past term, during which academics and researchers, in addition to teaching and evaluating student performance, also fulfill their research and administrative duties – a situation that places high demands on work organization, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

Palacký University is aware of this situation and would like to provide its academic and research staff with as much support as possible. That is why it is launching an anonymous survey aimed at mapping how they experienced the past semester, how they perceived their workload, and what would help them better manage the demanding periods of the academic year.

The questionnaire, in which UP faculty members can share whether they have enough time during the semester to prepare lessons and innovate, whether they are able to fulfill their administrative duties, whether they feel supported by their department, and whether they have enough time for rest and recovery, is anonymous, takes no more than 10 minutes to complete, and is open until June 30, 2026.

The survey is being conducted as part of the HR Strategy for Researchers at UP (HRS4R), which is part of the HR Excellence in Research Award (HR Award).
