The candidate lists for all eight faculties for the UP Academic Senate elections have been published. Elections will take place online from March 11 to 18, 2026.
Twenty-four new or returning members of the large Academic Senate will participate in decisions on key steps and the direction of UP for three years starting in May 2026. The university's highest body approves the budget, participates in fundamental internal regulations, and is also involved in other strategic, student, and employee matters.
The academic community can select their favorites from among the proposed candidates for each faculty from March 11 to 18, 2026. Academics and students will vote online at volby.upol.cz.
Candidate lists for the UP AS elections
During the nomination period, the sub-election committees at the eight faculties received a total of 70 names of candidates to represent the faculties in the UP Academic Senate.
In the upcoming elections, each voter will select a maximum of three names, two academics and one student from their faculty. The newly elected UP senators will take their seats in mid-May 2026, and their term of office will last until May 2029.
