How do you find working at Palacký University? What works well, and where do you see room for improvement? Right now, you have the opportunity to influence the shape of Palacký University’s next Gender Equality Plan. The university is therefore launching an anonymous survey, the results of which will serve as one of the main foundations for future directions in the areas of equal opportunity and the work environment.
Under the Fair University initiative, Palacký University has long been committed to creating an open, respectful, and safe work environment where all employees have equal opportunities to succeed, grow professionally, and fully develop their potential.
Part of this effort involves the regular preparation of the Gender Equality Plan (GEP). The university is now preparing its third edition, and the experiences, opinions, and suggestions of its employees will be among the most important inputs for this plan.
How Do These Measures Help?
Palacký University is currently implementing its second Gender Equality Plan for the period 2024–2026. Its goal is to promote an open, respectful, and safe work environment and to help ensure that the university is a fair place for all its employees.
„Thanks to this plan, we are gradually implementing measures aimed at developing workplace culture, strengthening respectful communication, preventing inappropriate behavior, supporting professional development, and raising awareness of equal opportunity issues,“ explains Veronika Fousková from the Personnel Management Office.
Palacký University is currently assessing the impact of the measures taken so far and identifying areas to focus on in the future through a so-called gender re-audit.
„Its goal is to evaluate progress to date, identify strengths and new challenges, and gather data to guide the university’s future direction,“ adds Fousková, noting that the survey results will serve as one of the main sources of information for preparing Palacký University’s third Gender Equality Plan, which will build on the work done so far and set priorities for the coming period.
Get Involved
A key part of the re-audit is the involvement of the university’s employees themselves. In addition to analyzing documents and statistical data, an anonymous survey is therefore currently underway.
„It is your experiences, opinions, and suggestions that will help us better understand how the university functions in everyday practice and which areas we should focus on in the coming years,“ explains Fousková.
The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and will be available until August 23, 2026.
Take the survey
If you’re interested in sharing your experiences in more detail, in addition to filling out the survey, you can also participate in focus groups or individual interviews.
„Every perspective is important and helps create the most accurate picture possible of how the university operates,“ says Veronika Fousková.
